Subjects Taught
Child Development, First Grade

I graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and I have received my Bachelors plus 18 hours. I first received my National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist in 2006. I renewed it again and passed it for another 10 years in 2016! I also was Top 5 Teacher of the Year for our district in 2006.

I began teaching 23 years ago at Andrews Christian School. I taught for one year. I taught a combined class for first and second grade. I then taught the following year at Kensington Elementary as the full time substitute for the Media Specialist. Then I began my journey here at Plantersville Elementary and have been here for 21 years teaching first grade for 14 years and 7 years teaching Child Development.

I LOVE teaching! It is my passion! I am back to teaching First Grade and I am so excited! I have been married for 34 years, to Stephen Forehand who is a boat motor technician at USC Baruch Marine Lab. I have 2 daughters; Lindsey Lotito, a Denal Hygienist in Mt. Pleasant and Laura Forehand, a Forester at American Timberlands in Pawleys Island. I also have a grandson; Seth. I have a twin sister, Yvonne Andrews who is a nurse in Columbia. My brother is Gary Todd, who is a deputy for the Sheriff's Department here in Georgetown. I enjoy the beach, hunting, fishing and boating. I love the outdoors. I have enjoyed being at Plantersville Elementary for 21 years. It is my home away from home. Come by and visit our First Grade class where we learn and have fun doing it!
